The Grizzly Among Us is a multi-year documentary project that follows three Montana bear managers as they face rising wildlife conflict across the state’s renowned landscapes. Through a combination of stills, social media, and a feature-length documentary, viewers will meet key voices involved with reconnecting grizzly populations and reducing conflict as the state’s bears encounter more humans than ever before.
From the managers’ frontline vantage point, viewers will have the opportunity to better understand landscape connectivity issues, as well as important conflict prevention measures that protect people and bears alike. As rampant development accelerates habitat fragmentation, grizzlies run into humans more frequently––from urban areas to iconic mountain ranges, this film will show the challenges that grizzlies face on ever-crowded landscapes. Through unique access, The Grizzly Among Us goes deeper than ever before into the no-frills work of grizzly conservation and emerges with a deeper message of hope for important relationships blossoming across the American West.
